Shakespeare in the Square
Since the first open air community Shakespeare in June 1995 successively the Crediton Drama Centre and the Crediton Arts Centre have mounted a biennial open-air production in the town centre. The shows are performed over four nights in a specially designed 400-seat auditorium.  <MORE>

Crediton Festival 2009
In 2009 Crediton will be celebrating the 1100th anniversary of the founding of Devon’s first cathedral in the town with a wide ranging series of local events involving a broad spectrum of civic, community, cultural, musical, religious and sporting themes with a number linking into educational programmes at the local schools.<MORE>

The Two Moors Festival in conjunction with Classic FM
It is a long time since 2001 when the Two Moors Festival was set up to help regenerate Dartmoor, Exmoor and the area between the Moors after the devastation caused by Foot and Mouth disease. That first ever festival comprised ten days of intense music-making in very rural places. Since then the Festival has developed enormously so that it now ranks equal amongst other national and international festivals in Britain.
